excellent and quiet neighborhood. easy access to old town centre via walking or tram. very clean room. great restaurant which also provided complimentary breakfast.
not sure if it is zurich in general or just the hotel but it was expensive for the size of room. 3 nights was almost $1000 canadian including taxes and one night's dinner in the good restaurant. also no air conditioning and it was hot and humid. the hotel did provide a strong fan.
-
Parking difficulty; elevator located at several stairs above...
-
The best thing about Seegarten is that you can have your breakfast outside in the terrace.
There is no air conditioning. I stayed in a room in the top floor on a hot day and it was like being inside an oven. The fan in the room didn't help much.
-
The kindness and the efficiency of the staff. Location is also very pleasant and the room itself was fine apart from comments below.
Extremely noisy building, you can hear your neighbour next door use the watertap. May be useful to remind your guest that having a shower after midnight is not recommended, as well as shouting in the corridors at night.

A great little hotel near the center of Zurich, a block away from the lake, yet on a quiet side street. I walked just about everywhere, including late at night, and it's in a great neighborhood. Nice restaurant, lively little bar scene (I was there over the weekend, Friday and Sat nights). Good breakfast. Very clean, fresh inviting room. Would stay again.
-
It is a bright, clean and cheery hotel. Very low key and informal in its manner of doing things. Which I prefer to the stuffiness of many hotels in Zurich.
You can hear every sound from your room from other rooms or the corridors and if you are not a heavy sleeper or have earplugs you wont get much sleep.
-
good location, hotel with a special charm
walls are a bit thin, you can hear the neighbour talk, which is rather disturbing at night
-
very clean, comfortable bed, good location, has a special charme
individual rooms are very small, but nice nevertheless
-
Very friendly staff, good location and nice breakfast in the room.
Perhaps an extra few pillows...
-
Polite personnel + good restaurant downstairs
Absense of the air conditioning, lavabo in the corridor, bad wine in the minibar, very noisy environment.

Wonderful firm beds and size of room was good for a City centre, its beautiful , thoughtful furnishings lighting and bedding. Across rd from Water side nrby Parking underground 12+ €uros seemed a lot but secure parking opposite hotel really.
Floors being sanded that morning outside my bedroom while was trying to have a leisuely lie in and no warning night before....... Rather average dining room so if on a romantic weekend one would want to Ask for Breakfast in bed as the room was plenty big enough with a decent pr of comfy chairs and small table. I was delighted to ahve a bath albeirt put knees up one! After ten days in European 4 star hotels without one! Well done Seegartan you know how us females like to prepare for a day in the City or before Dinner Out!.

The location was very good as was the service, friendlyness and helpfulness of the staff. The food in the evening was the beast we had in Zurich and we make a point of trying different places.
It was unesasonablly hot and no air conditioning so noisy when leaving the window open. Overall it did not detract from our break.
-
The rooms were nicely decorated and fairly large by Zurich standards.
-
Our room was small but it was compactliving!
We did not like separate bathroom and wash sink.

Very good hotel, pleasant employees with good hospitality, good restaurant, large and clean rooms, closed to the lake and the main city interests. Free wifi in rooms. Prices are acceptable for the offer in this expensive city
